Barbara Seay is a bottom-line sales and marketing professional with more than 25 years of sales experience, exceptional communication skills and an outstanding record of accomplishment in the fields of medical and real estate sales. Areas of expertise include residential real estate sales, surgical product sales and design, clinical laboratory, pharmaceutical and medical product sales, inventory management, distribution services and contract implementation. She consistently meets and exceeds profitability, productivity and sales objectives

Barbara has had a distinguished career in sales, business development, fundraising and marketing in a variety of industries, including nonprofit, health care and real estate. She brings a diverse set of skills to client work including managing sales, business development and distribution channels for national brand health care products in various regions across the United States, where she consistently exceeded sales and growth profit plans.

At the DC Chamber of Commerce, Barbara served as Director of Sales, oversaw all major event fundraising, new business development and membership retention. Her responsibilities included supervision and management of the sales force. She constantly worked with her team to raise new sources of revenue and managed four major fundraising events that generated over $1,500,000 in revenue in 2013. In addition, she acted as relationship manager four major strategic partners, ensuring that they maximized their engagement and investment in the Chamber.

While at the DC Chamber, Barbara was responsible for the organization’s annual gala fundraising. In 2013, through innovative sales strategies, sponsorship packages and relationship building, she led a team that raised a record ($1,000,000), which still stands today.

In addition, Barbara received the Baxter Healthcare Corporation Steuben Crystal Eagle Award for the DC region’s “$3 million Gross Profit Dollars closed”, and the company’s Teamwork Award.

Barbara has extensive training in negotiating, strategic thinking and conceptual selling. With strong background in collaborative team building with Allegiance Healthcare Corporation, Cardinal Healthcare and Baxter Healthcare Corporation. She has utilized these skills to increase business development opportunities for such organizations as the DC Chamber of Commerce, Long & Foster Real Estate, Maryland Chamber of Commerce and the Harper Square Cooperative in Chicago.
